Your tour begins with a scenic drive south from Aswan through desert landscapes toward the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, you will explore the Great Temple of Ramses II, dominated by four monumental seated statues that guard the entrance. Inside, reliefs and scenes depict royal power, religious devotion, and the famous Battle of Kadesh.
You then continue to the Temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. This elegant structure honors the queen alongside Ramses II, showcasing beautifully preserved reliefs and vibrant details. Your guide will also explain how both temples were cut into massive blocks and moved to higher ground to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. After your visit, you will return comfortably to Aswan by coach.
